Modification requires a Steady Hand but well worth the effort. |

One common concern is the loud audio level of the UV-3R(+) Modification is best shown with this YouTube video by VE2CUY Although the video shows a 47k resistor, I personally used a 33k to cut the volume back just a bit more.

| Note1: When taking out the 4 screws
holding the main unit to the case, the bottom 2 screws are
very small Torx, not Phillips. Note 2: Have some Solder Wick braid on hand to clear out the hole on the PC board for the antenna connection. |
