The Secret Tool
If you've ever had the antenna connector come lose on a
Baofeng radio, there is a little known repair tool that
comes along with the radio.
To tighten the loosened ring (castle nut) requires a tool that can be
inserted in the four grooves.

Remove the volume knob from the radio.

You will notice that there are four bumps on the inside ring
of the knob. These 4 bumps fit perfectly in the notches
on the antenna ring.
Slip the knob over the antenna connector and turn
clockwise and the loose connector issue is solved.
Note:
This works on most all handhelds with the SMA type
antenna connector.

My guess is that this little trick probably knocks a few
seconds off the factory assembly time. Those few seconds
mount up when you assemble tens of thousands of these
radios.
Enjoy your new toy.
