Something for the Bench
As you can imagine, like most hams, I have my share of toys. What I'm running
out of is space for the chargers. When I found there was a four (4) bay charger
for the BTech and Anytone DMR series, I couldn't resist.
In the Box
Included were the:
- 4 Bay Charging Deck
- Power Supply
- Instruction Sheet
Description
The 4 bay charger measures 8 x 7 x 2" (20 x 18 x 5cm) and weighs in at 22oz
(.65kg). Each slot is powered by it's own charging circuitry allow you to charge
any number of radios/batteries simultaneously.
Charging Capability
With exhausted batteries, I found the charging times to be about
5 hours with the 2200mAh battery and 7 hours with the 3100mAh battery.
To extend battery life, the batteries are charged at two different levels. When
placed in the charger, the charge rate is 100 mAh for the first 15 minutes, then
increased to 500 mAh for the balance of the charge.
The sides of the bases are slotted. If you have more than four radios or
batteries, multiple charge bases can be daisy chained to handle up to 8 or 12
pieces. The included supply delivers 12v at 5A which is enough power to handle
up to 3 bases at the same time.
If you are short on desk space and wall outlets, this might the solution you've
been seeking.

I have other multi-bay chargers, but the above was my most recent
addition.
