Review BL5RH Battery Eliminator

What is it?

The BL5RH is a 12 battery eliminator powered by any 12VDC power source with a conventional 12V power outlet.

The 12V plug is the standard size compatible with the lighter jack in your vehicle or on the 12VDC connection of the standard power supply.

It's an easy solution if the available mounting space in your vehicle is limited or you want a radio on your workbench that you can leave on 24/7.

The first thing I checked was the power level of my handheld (F8HP PRO). It was running full power (8.4W) on VHF. The next check was for any distortion in the audio which was perfectly clean.

Along with using mine on the workbench with my power supply I also use it in the mobile for those multi hour trips up and down the highway. When in my vehicle, I pair it with my Spkr/Micr allowing me to run my handheld on high power with no need to keep checking my battery level.

Note: Leaving a battery in the charger cradle or under USB charge full time can weaken and damage a Li-Ion battery over time. Li-Ion batteries need to be cycled to maintain top efficiency. The BL-5RH is the perfect solution for keeping your battery in great shape for when you need portable operation.
