Due to US import regulations, the newer versions of the MD-9600 are shipped to the US with the ham bands locked out. The following procedure is needed to unlock the operating range. |
1) Power switch Must be turned ON. 2) Completely Remove all Power from the radio by removing the Power Source. (not just a radio power OFF) 3) Press and Hold the P1 and P2 buttons while returning the power source to the radio. This will unlock the restricted frequencies. Enjoy your new toy.
